The first ever Burnie Platypus Festival has now been and gone and FoF and Burnie City Lions all worked really hard leading up to the festival and on the day to ensure people had fun and learnt heaps about Fernglade reserve and conservation.
With a number of local stall holders offering a variety of nature themed hand made goods, art and crafts; community organisation stalls; tours at Fernglade; kids activities including face painting, henna tattoos, archery and colouring in; a range of environmental presentations; good food and some live music thrown in; there was plenty to do and see on the day and there were a lot of smiling faces around.
